Designed by Sofia Lynggaard Normann. This Young Fish earring small is crafted from 18 karat yellow gold. The surface of the gold is hand-satinized and hand-polished by master goldsmiths. Each earring is designed with to eyes providing the flexibility to switch between various pendants and thereby create a variety of expressions. As the earring is ingeniously crafted to resemble a fishing hook, it is featuring a slightly more intricate opening mechanism compared to others. The craftmanship of the collection
Most jewellery pieces in this collection have a very advanced mix of 4 different surface types – Satinized, brushed, sandblasted, and polished. Flow and direction of the satinized surface is very distinct and defined by Sofia. The Fish and Claw pendants for earrings have small handmade safety hooks, made from hard drawn gold wire to achieve correct spring effect. Precious stones are carefully chosen to symbolize the colours of the ocean and the life beneath the sea. Each Fish pendant is carefully tied and knotted with a gold wire. Specially designed Collier with 5 eyelets that can be opened, so it is possible to attach the Fish and MLW Claw pendant. A special handmade spring system was developed to make the Pearl in the Fish ring moveable.
